I found original U-bolts ( I think) now having trouble finding 1"x5/8 spring eye bushing. front of Front spring on 92-93's. rear of front spring is 1x1/2 and I found those. moog#SB266. I will only go to polyurethane as a last result. thanx , crossy

Derek, funny thing , my son has a 91.5 W250,like you, and ALL his bolts are smaller on the suspension then 92-93 were along with the frame itself. I wound up using the moog SB266 (1x1/2”) in the rear of the front leaf and had to go aftermarket on the front/front as I was not able to find OEM style 1x5/8” bushings. Energy Suspension makes a poly bushing set (5.2102G) that has a sleeve inside to bush DOWN to the ½” that MOST Dodges need. For 92-93 you just remove the bushing and it is 5/8” ID. It is important to use OEM shouldered bolts for obvious reasons in that case. I talked to Kevin at ES and he was helpful about exactly what these bushings are about and I ordered the black ones with ‘G’ at end of part number because they are impregnated with Graphite meaning they are self lubing+++ . That ES kit gives 8 halves which is enough to do 4 eyes if you so choose. I bought the U-bolt kit from Venture truck parts on ebay and OEM style shackle kit from SDtruckparts.com.----- I mainly posted this info so searchers may get some useful info. Kevin also talked of the importance of shouldered bolts and preload on the flanges of the Poly bushings and importance of smoothing the rough edges of metal shackles that come in contact with them, both front and/or rear. I know my son had issues with his poly bushings after about a year, but I think I have a good handle on it now. Thanx for the leads guys. NOW- if the guy had only mentioned that the steering box was broken.- besides that someone is jumping my thread now. , Crossy

The regular bushings for the front eye of the front spring on 92-93 trucks should be:

Dayton rb81

As crossy said, the poly fit fine as well

I just rebuilt the spring packs for my 92 in November and didn't have any trouble finding bushings except for the front eye of the rear springs (but thats another story why Ford bushings were used those years)

The front eye of the front springs on the 92-93 trucks should have a 1.25 spring eye, about 2.88 wide and ID for a 5/8 bolt. It looks like the 266 is for a 1/2 bolt for you 89-91 guys.

EDIT: I just re-read your post. There is no such thing as a 1 inch OD, 5/8 ID bushing. Although its chrysler, so you never know....

This is a strange one for me to hear as well. All of the 4x4 trucks I have had below had factory 9/16" ubolts.

Jersey bud, I bought new skyjacker springs and they are 1" OD both ends so the RB81 probably won't work. I'll use the ES poly since they are Graphited. thanx, Crossy
