Im not knockin anyone or any engine but my cummins use to whoomp my dmax (stock) but i hate to say it you got to really bring alot of fuel to play with a modded dmax if your in a 12valve. with an edge juice and a ppe my truck ran turned a 13.2 in the quater, course that combo also blew out 4th and 5th gear. i loved my firstgen but it doesnt come close to the technology the duramax has.

They all have their goods-n-bads. Thats why they are both are still in business. (a good thing)
I admit to being anti-electronic on my truck. If my truck won't run, I have a chance at diagnosing the problem. Not the case with and brand newer truck.

I work in late model salvage, and I've had far too many good experienced shops call wanting to "try" some sensor or computer because the given codes didn't fix them. They can't return what they put on, and the bills get higher....
