Wait to start light is staying on

Wait to start light is staying on
So my wait to start light is staying on after I start the truck. It starts to flash after a few seconds of the truck running. Need Help

Don't know what year you have... might be helpful to us all if you fill in your signature
From the repair manual
"The Wait-To-Start lamp will flash ON and OFF if the charge air temperature sensor input to the engine controller is above maximum value or below minimum value. If either of the previous conditions occur, a fault code will be stored in the engine controller's memory"
You could have a faulty sensor or bad connection to the sensor. Something easy to check...

I have a 1989 and my uncle bought it new, from what I have been told the light has been blinking on and off since 1992 and I have no problems with it starting or running. I would say unless it really bothers you just forget about it and when you start in the cold just listen for the grid heater relays to click then start.

I know that ever thing is working on my truck i just don't know how to get the light to go off. And i would like for it to work correct, i don't want to bust the bulb.

Have you checked the Charge Air Temperature Sensor?
If the sensor is bad or if there is an open in the wiring, it will give the same symptom you describe in your first post.
Do you hear the relays clicking when you turn the ignition on (but not start)?
