Voltage ?
Hey Group -
Waitin' on my manual, so have a question to throw out to those of you that have one. "1993" Can you tell me how much voltage I should have at the white/w-orange striped wire that goes to the speed sensor/speedometer drive on the side of the transfer case. I'm getting only 4 volts at this particular point. I have 12 volts to the sender on the transfer case to light up the dash light telling me I'm in 4-Wheel drive. I also have 12 volts at the switch on top the Getrag that is for my reverse lights.
I am having a sporatic speedometer, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. The whole speedometer/odometer quits working.
I saw were someone had mentioned that just their speedometer quit but odometer still worked. This isn't my problem.
HELP !

If there was any voltage on that wire it would be 5v, so 4v is in the right range. The common problem with the speedo is a stripped drive hex. Pull off the sender and have a look-see.
