Question Verdict on New Era 370 Injectors...

Just to say, im not being critcal, just sharing my observations, Chuck Is a super guy to deal with by the way:
So I got my injectors (370's) from New Era in today. Im on the fence at the moment about the bang for the $. When I first got them I was a little concerned because: a. They were dirty enough to make my fingertips black, b. the bag they came in was dirty and had 295hp crossed out and 370hp written below it..., and c. the copper washers had been crushed already. I called Chuck with these concerns and he stated that they may have been a test batch that got pulled off the shelf and dyno'ed on an engine....a little relief there. All went in well. My idle rpm has dropped a lot, which I understand to be normal for a larger injector, but she is also much quieter. Im not sure how much more boost im building because I was pegging the 35psi gauge with the stockers. There is definitely more pull at the higher rpms... something I felt the stock setup always lacked, but I cant gauge if there is a whole lot more HP....Maybe Im expecting more than what is actually to be? Smoke is a little more prevalent but not too bad....and EGT's, well i still cant hit 1200....the pump is fairly maxed out too.
Questions:
Do stock injectors have 6 holes?
If you run NE 370's, whats your take on them?

Sorry for rambling....Mike

I run the New ERA 370's. I've ran them for over a year. I have dyno'd with them twice and did 339/605. Mine are pretty clean running. Egt's have never been a problem. I picked up a bunch of boost.

Your tq seems really low for that hp. Oh well, you got me beat big time anyway. lol How much bigger than stock are 370's?

I think TQ is down because of the auto tranny with 170k. The 370's are 5x12 the stock I/C's are 6x09 so not to much bigger.

Now that im driving her a bit more I have found that the best display of what they do is when the pedal is on the floor. I think that may be how it works any way...thought there would be some more lower down. Maybe I should back off my timing a bit? I must say, the engine is so much more quiet, and the exhaust sounds different to? No regrets!

Was the price on those the same as the 2nd gen 370's? They sound like a pretty good injector, I may give them a shot sometime in my truck. Thanks for the update on them also.
