ve pumped 24 valve

Has anyone ve powered a 24 valve. I was thinking about putting a 24 valve head on my truck and powering it with a ve, i was thinking 14mm head, good fuel supply, and getting some injector lines made. Is there any reason not to do this?

Thanks

I'm not sure if the head bolt holes are in the same place, or the pushrod holes. If they are, it would be a fun upgrade!

yes, the head will bolt on, there are minor details but overall it would work with injector lines.

Could you make your own injector lines with the same kind of tools as brake lines? What about injectors? Will they fit in the head without major mods? Never got into anything but ve or p pumped 12v engines. Sounds cool and different!

im sure lines could be made, 24 v injectors pop at 300 bar i think so they would have to be changed, ve pumping a 24 valve wuold be a good route to go, like p-pumping one, but lots of minor details, im sure someone will someday.

I think It would be cool.i heard p-pumps become hard to idle and be "streetable" because of the high lifts in the pumps like a big cam in a gasser v8. A ve pump is a rotary and variable timing pump and run better when turned up real high

Pistons are different too.

It would be a lot of effort for very little gain if any. P-Pumped 24 valves are not exactly setting the world on fire, the head is not worth much HP over a 12 valve head.

Exactly. My brothers buddy had a P-Pumped 24 Valve and hated it. He swapped in a '97 12 Valve instead.

I have two buddys both p pumped 24 valves, both of them with very little money in them. both also will turn sideways at 60 mph with roll on throttle. ones a 3/4 ton 4x4 with bumpers and 35s and the other, an extended cab dually posi. this is a ridiculous amount of power. i thought that a stock 24 valve head flowed better than a ported 12 valve. i just want to do whats cost effective. if im gonna spend thousands of dollars porting and shipping a 500 pound head around, proly just gonna bolt on the 24. tell me why i shouldnt?
