valve spring question?

valve spring question?
I have my new exhaust brake installed on my 93 CTD, and also have new 60lb exhaust springs ordered to make the exhaust brake work properly. Does anybody see a good reason to replace the intake springs while I am in there since they have 200.000 miles on them? If so, would I put 30lb springs back on, or use 60lb springs on the intake valves too? I don't really see a reason to replace them, but I didn't know if 200,000 miles was a good time to freshen them up? Any opinions?

Unless you plan to put in the 3200rpm spring, and back out the high idle, there is no real reason to change them. You should be good to 32-3300RPM all day long with stock springs. I know guys who have run 6-700K with nothing but oil and filter changes.
On the other hand, if you have it apart, springs dont cost that much.....

I intend to install a 3200 rpm gov spring in the near future. Does that mean I should change the intake springs too? Should I put in 30lb springs or 60lb springs on the intake valves?

If you plan on running over 3400 RPM, get 60lb valve springs on the intake too. The 3200 spring will actually fuel higher than 3200, so as long as you're in there changing springs, you might as well do the intake springs too IMO.
