Valve covers??

Valve covers??
Is there any little bits of info that I should know before I remove my valve covers?Just wanna clean em' up a bit and wanted to make sure its as straight forward as it looks. Torque #'s etc.

The bolts go to 18ft/lbs.
You should be able to remove the rubber gaskets, wipe all associated surfaces clean, and reuse the same gaskets.
If you feel you must have replacement gaskets, do yourself a favor and get genuine Cummins gaskets (grey in color). Others (black in color) do not last anywhere near as long.
There are rubber O-rings located under the bolt heads as well. They are purchased separate from the main gaskets.
