Hello folks. I recently changed back to my walk-in utility bed and with my plumbing tools and supplies totaling about 2000 pounds to my payload. I really notice the converter slipping with all that weight now. With 189,000 miles on the odometer, stock engine, with a good condition trans, would a TCI converter and shift kit or valve body kill this high mileage trans? Thanks in advance.

I don't know TCI so I am not able to reply on that, however I did my torque converter/ valve body upgrade at about the same mileage and love it. That was over two years ago. I went with DTT and will atest that they were there for every question along the way.
I didn't do it alone. I hired a well known DTR member to do it and he let me help. Great experience.
