turning up a 91 cummins

Hey guys, brand new to cummins diesels ( always had power strokes). The truck is a 91 diesel 4x4 with 200k and bone stock. i need some help(like i said i am new to dodges) with a few detailed dierections on how to turn up the pump to get this heavy weight to move a little quicker. i am not looking for any major mods just a few quick pump adjustment that would increase my preformance some. thanks for any instructions you can give me and i will let yall know how it goes!

Look lower and more towards the engine. It's a tin cap.

found it! i unscrewed the whole bolt marked the stock location and cut the weld spacer off with a dremel, put back on and tured it in about two turns and had little to any smoke. the power increase was very noticable but i noticed my passing gear is not comming in (kick down). just got the truck and it was not working when bought. any ideas on the trans?

Sounds like you need to adjust the TV cable. There's info in the sticky on how to do that.

I have done the power adjustment on back and the recomended smoke adjustment so far.(hardly any smoke at stand on it throttle) i am going after the star wheel today and adjust the idle down hopefully. the no kick down problem hopefully can be found also. it shifts too good all the way to overdrive to be too much wrong.

Your shifting problem is only with OD? Look in the sticky for info on adjusting the TPS, that will straighten it out.

There is a kick down cable with all your cables behind the i/p, make sure they are all on there, I have had that problem before and it was that the kickdown cable was off, it went to the hardware store and bought an "e" clip and re attached it. Hope this helps good luck with that truck, you got oner of the good diesels that you can't break, also if your truck is 4x4 it is a w250 not a
d250
