Question Turbo Swap Question

I have access to a turbo off an 03 2500 fairly cheap. Is it possible to put it on the 91.5 or is it to big or too much trouble?

All i know right now is it came off an 03. I dont mind making a downpipe, just need to know if the housing is too big to do any good. I'm afraid it would hurt more than help.

I don't think it'd be worth the trouble. It will have the 9cm housing, which will tend to choke the engine at higher RPMs. Also, I don't think the 3rd gen compressors are much, if any, bigger than ours until 04 or 04.5, but I don't remember exactly.

You'd be better off buying a used 12cm housing for your stock turbo.

You will need a custom downpipe, and if you add big injectors you will outgrow that turbo very quickly. I'd do a turbine housing swap (12 cm wastegated is awesome on a 5 speed) and get compressor upgrade from Gillett or HTT instead.
