i have a 92 cummins. the turbo that came on it was crap. i bought a turbo from my buddy that owns a diesel shop that he had off a 2nd generation. I put it on and it does wonders. I have been reading on here that people can do little tricks to get more boost and things. I am not looking to spend much money,so i appriciate any advice on those tricks. also, i have heard I can turn up the fuel pump? is this true or do I need to add the spacer plate? I am not looking to make this a race truck, just make it run better. it is the fastest 92 where i live. dont get me wrong, there aren't a lot of em where i am, so its nothin special. lol. thanks for any advice.

look in the sticky under performance you'll find everything you need to know about turning up that pump.

here's the thread you need to read. it's in the sticky, but still near the top of the thread list. these are the "free power" mods you can do yourself. How to Tweak the pump videos. Timing, fuel pin, throttle linkage

these mods will get you started. once those are done you're addicted, trust me. sounds like your buddy gave you an hx-35. and with the nv5600, i bet it is awesome now.
