turbo flange to manifold steel gasket

are these reusable? other than going to Cummins, this is tough to find in my area. No way on the dealer. I tried to get the hood insulation fasteners from the dealer and they wanted almost $4.00 a piece for those!! Anyway, I can imagine what they want for the steel gasket.

I just bought one from my dealer. They had it in stock. I just told them it was for a 94 to 98. Cost $5 and some change.

I've had the turbo off three or four times, just resued the gasket no prob yet. The manifold and turbine housing are realtively soft, should seal up if the bolts are tight.

When I had cause to remove the turbo, in order to get my A/C air-box off and back on the fire-wall, the metal gasket was in pieces.

I borrowed one from a friend and ordered five new ones from Scheids Diesel, about four bucks apiece.

The one I originally had on the engine had the divider between two seperate holes.

The one I borrowed was one big open hole, with no divider; in use, I can't tell any difference.

The ones I got from Scheids are like the original, with two seperate holes.

As cheap as these are, it would pay to stock up.

The open divider ones are for the hy9's on the 24v autos, I think. The hy9 doesn't have the divider in the exhaust housing.

ANY T3 turbine gasket will work. I've also bought them at CaseIH tractor/ construction dealers.

Get a new one. They seal by having a metal bead crushed, they don't spring back.

They're about $1.30ish from Cummins. Can be reused in a pinch if the gasket is not as old as the truck.
