Turbo Exhaust Clamp ?
On an original 1989 Turbocharger, the V-Band Clamp that captures both the exhaust flange and the down-pipe and clamps them together, does anyone know any part-numbers for a replacement clamp ?
If I find such clamps that are sold by size instead of part-number, what size do I need ?
A few days ago, in a thirty-minute window of opportunity between drenchings, I reinstalled the down-pipe elbow onto the turbo after replacing a section of flex connected to it.
I had big rock-quarry conveyor belt mats underneath the truck.
As I was trying to hold everything together, get the clamp in place, and keep it all in place while I grabbed the wrench and tightened = an act in futility, I saw a bit of metal laying on the mat underneath where I was working.
It turned out to be about an inch-long chunk of one edge of the "V" inside the clamp.
Seeing as I only had the one clamp, I went ahead and used it and it seems to be holding fine and leak free.
However, I would like to have another on hand for the next time I have need to have it apart.
Yes, I normally would have measured every aspect of such things and put the information in my records; however, if I had taken the time to have done so, I would have not got it together before the next heavy monsoon.
Thanks.

UPDATE:
I found this at RockAuto = AP/Eastern Part # 9618 2.75" Pipe Diameter $17.61 + S&H of about $8 or so.
Does this mean I need a 2.75" Clamp ?
I found on Amazon; #3903652, it says it fits, but no measurements that I can see; I looked at several and this is the stoutest-built one I saw.

So is it rusted or did the inside "v" spot welds break off? Or both?
I don't have any measurements or numbers for you but I'd say Ollie has a box full of them probably?
