Unhappy Turbo boost PSI numbers ???

Hey all after some serious computer VIRUS, I'm back, just got a quick question......What kind of boost numbers should we see on a "TOTALLY STOCK H1C", with NO pump mods.....the only thing done is a straight pipe exhaust system ???? Truck only has 91,000 original miles.......by the way I can work this thing REAL hard, and only get it to 800 degrees on the pyro....(POST TURBO)......feels like it is WAY under fueled, time to screw in the POD's and bolt on a HX-35 ??????

I've been told that a stock h1c gets about 14 psi of boost with no pump mods.

Mine was never stock. Shiped from the factory 500+hp. Naw I am just pulling your leg. I had my pumped turned up before I put gauges in it. I know I will have to say a couple of mail hairy's or hairy mails for saying that. From what I have read these guys are right on. 14-17psi. The problem is every pickup is different same goes for pump settings.

I'm gonna say 12-15psi... keep in mind that there will be a tad of difference depending on tranny type....obviously a standard trans will generate more boost on load but you're in the ball park.
Mine, 1 year old with a stock auto and no pump mods did about 13psi.

the one i just test drove and am picking up on thursday had stock exhaust, pump turned up, wastegate unhooked, otherwise stock would hit 20 lbs on a hard pull.

Wow, mine must have been a real turd. It made 12psi with the eccentric at the deepest position. It seems to like 62psi much better.

Bone stock...I mean BONE STOCK...my truck was seeing 18psi max boost.

With the 4" straight pipe...21psi max boost.

With the factory airbox removed...23psi max boost.

With the pump turned up...26psi max boost.

With the P.O.D.'s...32psi max boost.

With the HX35/12cm2, wastegate welded shut...buries my 0-35psi boost gauge instantly.

It probably makes a little bit of difference whether you have the 18.5cm or 21cm turbo housing. As I recall, the early '92s had the 21cm and the late '92s had the 18.5.

My '92 with the 18.5cm makes 15psi with just some pump timing, the ecentric turned, a linkage adjustment, a straight pipe and a BHAF. Made about 13psi before the pump changes partly because the linkage adjustment wouldn't let me hit WOT.

My non I/C did about 18-20 when it was stock with the K & N filter.
Now I can easily bury the 30 psi gage so I have no idea what I'm making.
Time for a new gage I suppose before I start modifying my turbo and intake system.

Stock engine except for Banks exhaust Ram air intake below the bumper and I get 20 psi @WOT on flat pull with no load. Has a 727 auto trans. Ram air gave me 5 psi boost at freeway speed for free. I live 10 minuets from Gale Banks in Azusa Ca. Nice toys there. Jim.
