Truck is finally ready!

My paint/body shop called me today with the good news that my truck is looking like it rolled out of the factory again! I ended up keeping it two tone green/tan(gold) and had them redo the shell as well. I'll take pics when I pick it up tomorrow.

Thats good news! Is the frame and everything ok with the truck still? What did they do to fix the side of the box, put on a new side or replaced the whole box? What about the tailgate panel thats no longer available?

They put a new side on to fix the box. No frame damage at all. I had them get a tailgate for a gasser (new) and they didn't have that panel. I'll keep my old tailgate incase I run across a panel and replace it at a later time. Pics to come later as I pic it up today.

Ill tell tou one thing about body work if you ever have a chance to do it avoid it . I did a lot of it to my truck when I bought it, I had to put two front fenders, two door skins and repair panels in the bed over the tires. The cab looks good but the bed has cracked and it looks like poo poo . But this is just becuase I suck at body work,

Your truck is goin to look pretty good. Its amazing what some paint will do. It will feel like a new truck

Let us know when you have pics.

It's a real shame about that tailgate panel.

Pics are up waiting approval

When they get approved I'll put them on here. It looks G R E A T . Total price including the repaint was just under $6000.00. No frame damage at all. The paint is FIRST class For the price it should be. Now I've got some buddies getting this guy to do paint on there classics. (shelby cobra, 66 corvette).

that tailgate looks odd to me, with no spacing between the words DODGE RAM... DODGERAM?? I know my '89 has a space in the words. I found a pic of another like it as well. Don't mean to be perschnickity about it, just an observation
