I got my truck all back togather after having it apart to fix head gasket and leaking ip and now wont start no fuel. I took it apart and ended up puting my twins on(hx35-hx55) set up and a draw straw fuel filter set up half in fuel line and took the ip apart to fix the o-ring on the injection pump head and also put a new fuel shut off on and now im not geting any fuel to the injectors i took two lines off and tried to start it and it just drips fuel. WHAT DO I DO NOW? I plan on taking the fuel shutoff back off tomarrow and try it if that dont work did i not get the ip back togather right i had it off the truck when i took it apart.

 

I know this is a dum ? but is the wire hooked up to the shut down solenoid?

 

x2, I was so embarrassed when I changed my injection pump and did my kdp but couldn't get it going since the wire was not on there good enough. Just run a jumper straight from the battery to remove all doubt.

 

the shut off is hooked to the right wire because when I unpluged it i saw a spark havent checked how much power it has but it does have power.

 

If it sparked it may be bad and shorting out. It shouldn't spark. Test to see if you have 12V at the wire connector. If that checks out pull the shut down valve and remove the plunger and spring and re-install. If you don't get fuel after that then there is another issue.

Just remember if you get it running with the plunger gone from the shut down valve you will need to use the manual shut down lever to stop the motor.

 

When I saw a spark on my FSS on the dually, it blew the fuse (which in your case would be a fuseable link since I rewired mine)! Make SURE there is power there now for sure.

 

where is the best place to send my pump if it is the problem?about how much does it cost to get one repaired? would it be a good time to have a cam plate or 14mm head put on? i have a p pump but would like to play with the twins and ve first.

Well tonight I took all the guts out of the fuel shut off and put it all back togather and still not geting anything to the injectorsso I guess that my pump would be junk or something.

 

What was leaking on the pump to start with?
