Trailer hitch on '91 4x4 - std or drop?

Since I can't find a ride tomorrow to Virginia to pick up my new truck, I'm going to drive the car, rent a trailer and haul it back with the Dodge. So, will a standard class III hitch work, or does the truck sit high enough that I have to have a drop hitch?

It has not been lifted above the standard ride height.

Thanks!

it depends on the height of the trailer. on a car hauler i use a six in. drop, but if it is over loaded ( who me? ) i can use a four in. drop

i mean i use a drop slide-in tube in the receiver. yes your class three will work, just need a drop tube with the proper drop and ball size
