trailer brake thing under dash????

How's that work exactly?

More importantly- how is it wired in ... trying to remove it. The ground is cut to it's white wire and the red goes to the white on the harness. Cut it out and now no turn signals....

There should be 4 wires on most controllers.
1--black ,hot wire to battery

2--red ,hot from brake switch when depressed

3--white ,ground

4--blue ,power to trailer brakes
