for the first gens in general they just came with either 3.07's or 3.54's. You can get 4.10's and lower for the D70 but they dont make any gear sets higher now than the 3.54's for D70.
The best highway and mileage gears for a first gen are 3.07's with an OD trans. The axles with those gears is getting harder to find though. Plus not much option for LSD or lockers. The next best highway gear option is to swap to a D80 and get there 3.31 gears. Thats probibly the direction I'm going one of these days.
