If you want the easy way to hook the spring up do the following. Push the throttle shaft down in the AFC housing so it is sticking out the bottom or remove it all the way. Next hook the spring on and push it back into the AFC housing or top part of the pump.

Well I ran into a new problem. I got everything installed except the throttle spring assembly. That screw that connects the bottom throttle lever to the one that has the notches for indexing has been stripped. I shouldn't have taken it off in the first place but I didn't know then.
I put it back on and started the truck and it was idiling too high so I was going to reindex it but I can't get that screw out because Its stripped the threads in the bottom lever. My problem is Where I screwed it back down Is wrong since it is adjustable.
What can I do here? I Can get the screw out but I can't put it back in because its stripped the threads.
