Timken bearings and seals?

Hi, I have to admit that in the past I have used what I thought were good bearings and seals from Napa. Not the cheaper Autozone or Advance Auto crap. But the funny thing is I think that I have been getting scammed. I remember buying Timken items from Napa and then all of a sudden the only thing I could get is SKF. The funny thing is that the first couple bearings I received were Timken bearings but were in a SKF box. The store manager told me that SKF bought out Timken. The problem with that bit of info is that Timken still sells items. Does anyone know of a good supplier of Timken bearings and seals? Can Napa get them? I get a great discount at my local Napa and would love to prove the manager wrong in that the only thing he can get me is SKF. Can someone please tell me who sells Timken (hopefully Napa can order them and please list out the Timken part #'s for both a dually rear hub (both inner and outer bearings and races and seal) as well as (both inner and outer bearings and races and seal) for a single wheel?

I believe the dually #'s are (inner set38) and (outer 45291) but not sure what the Timken seal # is. I know the skf part #30033. But is Timken the same?

Can Napa get the good stuff?? As always thank you to anyone who can help.

Quad 4x4 in Montana. Their website will list their part numbers but they are Timkens.

Hate to break it to you but almost all the bearings and seals Autozone stocks are Timken. Alot of their store branded Duralast stuff might be junk but when it comes to bearings and seals they have the good stuff.

SKF is no slouch, they have been making quality bearings for many years as well.

I don't think SKF bought out Timkin, if so i haven heard anything and my work buys hundreds of bearing a month.

i just bought all the bearings last month to rebuild a duelly D70, but my bill is on my desk at work, i will post numbers on tuesday.

i got my bearings from a bearing house, Bearing Headquarters in Mt Vernon ILL. look in the phone book or call a local big repair shop/machine shop, electric motor shop, one of them should be able to tell you where they get bearings from.

i also get a heck of a discount from my local Federated auto, and the bearing house beat there price by over $150 bucks on everything.

for 8 bearings-- 2 pinion, 2 carrier, 4 wheel, and 3 seals the total was $306.87.
