Timing Pin,must be broke
Let me just tell you, trying to find the pin hole for TDC is near impossible, I finally had to call in my wife (which I don't do often) but had on choice. We finally after 8 or 10 revs with no luck we went to #1 loose #6 tight method which worked well. But what a pain. But I did get the valves adjusted YEA! So then I thought I give the fuel screw a whirl, Ha! I must say I have to give you guys that have succeded a big HOORAY!! You must be magic or have little tiny hands and way tiny way bent tools to get at that stuff. I did manage to get the alum cap off but it went down hill from there. Anyone have the easy way or do I just pay some little magic guy to do it?

Re:Timing Pin,must be broke
Alot of times the timing pin will be siezed in the housing from the O ring being dry. If you look at the end of the timing pin that sticks out the back. There will be a lock washer that keeps the timing pin from backing all the way out. Just take a screwdriver and pry the washer out of the housing. You can then pull the timing pin completely out. Lube it up and reinstall.

I had the same problem on my 89. Couldn't get it to work no how. Finally pulled it clean out of the cover and did what Monty said, no more problems. Doesn't get used that much so it sticks.
