Thumbs,
I assume you mean that plastic pin that you push in when the motor is at TDC? When I adjusted my valves mine got stuck . I finally found a wrench that was over a 1/4" thick that just slipped over the shaft and used it to pry the pin out.
I came very close to a cold sweat panic! You might try some PB Blaster or something similar to lube it too.
Chris

Me too, Chris! I was freaking out for about 5 minutes before I got it wiggled out. Gary's is stuck pretty solid, we PB'd it and hit it with a (very small) hammer many times, no movement at all.

Re:timeing pin
I dont know if you guys have tried this yet but. All of the trucks that I have had this problem with. I just took the small round clip off the back of the housing and used a pair of needle nose pliers and pryed the pin out using the side of the gear housing for leverage. After taking the pin out, just lube it up and reinstall. If the pin will not come out still, you can unscrew the timing pin housing from the gear cover. 2 torx bits will do the job.
Alot of times, the pin will get stuck when engaged at TDC. Simply get underneath the truck and turn the dampner the other way just a little or put a 15mm socket on the dampner bolt and turn it. This is due to the pin binding if you go to far one way when the pin engages.
