time to give the ole girl a service
finally brought my 93 into the shop to give her a well deserved service and inspection. first i did the oil , filters , lube , then i drained out the getrag and refilled it with an additional quart. after that i gave the valves a ajust. see my master cylinder is low and has a drip so ordered a new one for tommorrow. also found a spot the squirrels had chewed the wiring down to the copper. fixed that . still need to do the kdp yet this summer. 89k on the clock and runs like a champ. thanks you guys for all the info and the place to post it. makes service work a pleasure instead of a pain.

"Giving the 'ol girl service" made me worry what exactly the topic was but...
At the KY meet there was a gentlemean from Virginia, don't remember his name, but he had a really nice silver/gray D250. He had a cool idea for servicing his Getrag. He plumbed in a 4 way cross. The bottom had a temp sensor I think. The top had a petcock at the correct fluid level and the other outlet went to a hose that came up on to the pas fencder with a cap for filling. If he opened the pet and fluid came out he knew he was full. If not he could fill standing up at the fender. Neat.

Thats a sweet idea for the getrag.
Yeah, it amazing what that one quart overfill, n fresh fluid does. Mine stopped making me wait go into 5th, n shifted much smoother.

my old international m tractor engine oil pan has two petcocks one for to full one for two low. i just took out a top pto bolt and i keep an old 90wt plastic bottle that has a small end on it where the cap goes and i just squirted it in the hole. didn't take five min to do all the oil thru that hole. i am thinking of the site glass in the pto cover saw some one on here already used it thought it was a darn good idea.

Yea, my old H has that too. Sure makes it convenient. My 130 from the same vintage doesn't have that. Wonder if it had anything to do with them being able to run on Kerosene? Seems like I remember some correlation there. The sight glass PTO cover is a cool idea though.
