Throttle actuator rod.
Can anyone help me with a part number on the rod that connects the linkage to the pump on a '93? It's straight, with cupped ends that snap over ***** on each end. One left-hand thread, the other right hand. Local Dodge dealer can't seem to figure it out. Needing rod with ends.
It's a '93 4X4 auto. Thanks

the dealer can get you the replacement end kit for $10. however both ends they will give you are going to be threaded the same way. I took 2 6x1.00 metric bolts (i believe that's the right size) and welded the heads together.
Here is a pic of the dodge parts and the rod that i made.

I went to my local Specialty Fastener supplier (King Bolt) and I bought 2 6mm Heim joints one is Left hand thread so they simply replace the originals on the threaded rod.
(The left hand thread will have a V notch around the end of the thread.)
I used metric bolts and Nylock nuts to connect them to the pump and bellcrank assy.
Here is the finished modification.
There is absolutely ZERO play in the linkage now.
I think all of the parts were around $15.00

On my third trip through the stickys I found it.(shoulda known). Called the Cummins dealer and gave them the part number listed and it's supposed to be in tomorrow.
(I think that heim joint set up is the way to fix it once and for all)
Thanks, Ron
