Temp sending unit ohm value?

Temp sending unit ohm value?
On my '89 Cummins, what should the ohm value of the temperature sending unit be? (at room temp) I have it tied into the wiring and gauges on my '79 Ford, and I never get much off of cold, even when driving hard. It is working as far as that goes, but never gets up into the normal range like the gasser did. I don't know if it is just running cool, I have a bad temp sending unit or it is just a different ohm value than ford uses and throwing my guage off.
An off topic question I have is my truck a Dord, Fodge or a Fummins now

Put a '79 Ford sending unit in it to be sure the reading is right.
If you have a decent radiator it won't get real hot running empty. The ol' Ford probably ran around 205, the Cummins is running around 185.

I am using the radiator out of my Dodge donor. If the Cummins normal opperating temp is 185*, the gauge is reading about right, and I won't worry about it any more. I have wired the oil pressure the same way and get a bit over 1/2 the way through "normal" on the ford pressure gauge, slightly higher when cold. If someone can lead this computer fool through posting some pictures of my conversion I'd like to show off my work in progress.
Thanks
