Taller gears, bigger tires, or gear vendor?

Stock 93 250 4x4 5spd with 4.10s. I put 285/75 16s and they fit nice, only barely scrubbed fender with a full load of green wood in a steep drive, however, i would like a little more top end. 35s will require a little lift in the front, i got the borgeson coupler shaft so a lift seems fairly simple (or is there more to it than springs?). Other options are the 3,54s or a gear vendor.Any opinions on what would be the easiest and most cost effecient route? Any and all opinions appreciated.

The easiest and the most cost effective would prolly be a set of leaf springs, or an ad-a-leaf. I put skyjacker ad-a-leafs in the front of mine to level it out. They raised the front end up 1.5-2in and could clear 35's. I still used the shocks that were on the truck. It cost me around $200 but I did all the work myself.

if your wanting to lift the truck any ways then lift and tires would get you to your goal!
If speed and fuel mileage is your goal the Gear Vender all the way!!!!
I'm running stock 235/85/16's w/4.10 and couldn't get more then 17 mpg and with the GV can get 21......let alone be able to split gears!!!!!

The kid in me wants the lift and tires, but the grown up wants the gear vendor. Current top is around 60mph ive coasted her around 70mph+ Id like to be able to cruise the 70 to 80 range if It feels right. Im getting right around 17 mpg driving somewhat conservative. Hows the lift ride? Smooth or stiff or the same? How much are gear vendors? How much extra wear should i expect from bigger tires? Running gear seems so stout id imagine things to hold up well.

The cheapest way to get more top end is installing the 366 gov spring in the injection pump. No downsides there, just more rpms and better throttle response everywhere. I was topping out at around 75-80 running 4.10s and 285/75 16s before the spring install. Now it pulls hard right to 90, and feels like it would probably peg the speedo if I wasn't afraid to go there. Haven't checked mileage since I started doing mods. It ran 19mpg highway before, so I think it is probably doing a little better now, maybe 20 or 21.

If your truck is toping out at 60 you had better pull the floor mat out form under the go peddle or fix the linkage so it will!!!!
My truck with out the Gear Vender will to 78 on the flat!!
Have a buddy push on the go peddle will you look at the pump and make shore it hitting the hi idle screw!!! I think this is were you problem is!

The GV is a grate product and i highly recamend to any one but you had better start stashing some cash if you going to get it in the near future!

I agree with flash, my w350 with 4:10s would do 82 mph. I have got running about 88 or so now. If just adjusting the linkage doesn't suit you adjust your high idle screw (but watch the fuel line in front of the throttle). This got me about 6 or 8 more mph. Also you can swap where the return spring and throttle linkage are mounted and the throttle travel will not be so long (floormat not so apt to get in the way). There is a picture of this on page 2 of the forum under "am I missing something or is this a good plan" on the last page if I am not mistaken. Good luck.

Yep, I wasn't getting full stroke on the throttle when I got mine. The fuel line between the throttle and the timing gear housing would stop the throttle early at about 80% throttle no matter how hard I pushed the pedal.
