tack doesn't work

Bought a new isspro tack from Piers and have it in and it doesn't work. The lights work when the ignition is turned on but no rpm. I got the wiring kit with it and found the wires under the steering colum (flat 4 pin) Is it possible that there is no signal coming from the motar??? The senor wires are as follows.
the sensor wire from the wiring harrness to the + side of the tack and the ground wire to the other senor post.

If you can't get it to work call and ask for Harry at PDR. He can make sure you've got the correct wiring sequence/diagram.

The crank sensor is locateted on the front of the engine just above the harmonic balencer. About the 1:00 posistion. If your volt meter is showing a charge, anything above 12v & your A/C is working, these are all tied in with the C.S. and the P.C.M. (powertrain control module) and indicate that the C.S. id working fine. I have the same tach a it only shows signs of life when started in fridged conditions for a couple seconds. I had a remote starter installed and it wouldn't work because of the poor tach signal coming from the computer. I have installed a new C.S. and checked wiring still no tach.
I wish you luck.
