Tach Wiring

Picked up an ISSPRO tach off eBay and ordered the wiring connector from ISSPRO as described in the tech article. Now I'm a little concerned about the hookup. I "think" I found the connector in that bundle going to the fusebox, while I was under there getting the gauge mounted. But it has only three pins, not four. The gauge has three wires, so seemed like a good match, but something doesn't add up as far as the tech article instructions are concerned. The light bulb for the gauge is not there, so that might account for a missing wire, not sure. Any ideas?

Sell the tach. A '91.5 has no crank position sensor.

Might want to update that tech article then, because it says the 91-93 trucks have it.

What did you pay for it all? I'm sure one of us would buy it from you.

Because the writer was misinformed. Sorry. Sometimes free advice is worth what you pay for it.

I gotta find out how to get in there to edit those, there are quite a few things that could use updating.

Don't know the number off hand but Isspro has the crank sensor kit for the ones that didn't have the factory one, or did have a couple years ago. They'll send you a catalog.

Yeah thanks JW - I saw that when I ordered the now useless wiring harness I have. Thought I wouldn't need it. So I have the sensor on order now, but the only depressing part is the sensor cost more than the tach! I think I got a good deal if it all ends up working. The tach was $21 from some guy off eBay and apears to be in decent shape. We'll see
