T-case shifter adjustment

T-case shifter adjustment
I need some help with this. My 93 has started kicking out of 2H on it's own, while going down the road. I pull the lever all the way back and it will barely go into 2H. I took the shifter boot off and it goes into 2H and 4 H fine. I crawled inderneath the truck and when in 2H, the shifter does not look like it is in the correct notch in the shift gate, mounted on the side of the T-case. It does not look like the gate can be adjusted. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the shifter or linkage to make it shift correctly again? CAn anyone tell me what the service manual says on how to adjust? Right now I have the shift boot off and it's kind of noisy driving down the road that way, hahaha! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I really don't think there is any adjustment on it, I think your T-case is going bad.
In my dad's plow truck, a ford, but it had the 205 t-case and it started jumping out of gear in 4hi, it would jump out then catch with a bang then you would keep going.

Your t-case may be going bad. But from memory as I have sold my 1st gen. Take the boot off, loosen up the 3 bolts that hold it. And I think you push the shifter all the way forward and then tighten bolts up. I believe it will only move about 1/4" at the most. Then try shifting all gears again. It does say in the manual but I let mine go with the truck, to VINNY.
