Suspension and steering rebuild

So I have come to the conclusion that I need a front end rebuild on my 1990 D250, springs and everything. I have been browsing through the forums for a while and am getting mixed info on the subject. Is there anything I should know before I start buying parts off of rock auto and slapping them in? Have any parts been discontinued and what I order online will not fit without some serious rework? Also, my GAWR for the front is 3830, should I be going for the 4000 pound axle parts? Let me know if you need more info.

Another thread was just started on this subject a few days ago.

Maybe not exactly what you are asking for, but the diagrams alone will be helpful.

So I'm on rock auto looking up moog parts, and it seems they are either for the 3300 lb axle or 4000 pound. My door sticker says I have a 3830 axle rating, should I be shooting for the 4000 lb stuff, mainly ball joints? And is there a way to know if I have the threaded or the pressed by simply looking at it without having it apart?
