Superb Website!!!
THANKS to those who put together this wonderful website! It ROCKS!
I have just acquired a '92 D250 (CTD of course).
Thanks to the tons of excellent information here, I have already managed to take care of the KDP and valve adjustment.
Soon to come: OD hunt fix (will propably install the pot on the dash), timing bump, trans band adjustment, door hinges replacement, injectors test.
I bought the truck with 136,000 miles on it, have barely driven it yet but I'm already fond of it. I was surprised to find the 5.9 Cummins MUCH quieter than I expected.
I thought direct-injected diesels were louder than IDI, so I expected more noise compared to my GM 6.5....
I'm a bit disappointed, actually, cause I love the sound of the 5.9, only it's too quiet.
As for KDP fixing, I agree 300% with those who recommend opening the gear housing instead of relying on drilling jigs. As was said, the gear housing-to-block bolts were barely finger-tight , so I'm very happy I followed the good advice. I cleaned, loctited and torqued everything.

WELCOME! Glad some of us could be of service. I think most everyone on here, (with a few notable exceptions ) has a thank you story to tell. We all try to help each other out and share what we have learned and mistakes we have made so others may learn from them. Embarrassing though some of those mistakes might be!
Feel free to post some pics of your recent purchase. We all love a good 1st gen.
