They will act WAY different. The Super B is a great turbo. It's a 57mm, though, which is sort of small for an aftermarket turbo. It'd spool like lightning, but you probably wanna go bigger.
The Super B Special is at the opposite end of the spectrum for our trucks. It's pretty big @ 64mm, so it may be laggy at times, but when it lights you better hang on.
If I was in your shoes, I'd get this turbo.

Most here will agree that it's one of the best all-around singles you can put on a 1st gen. Way cheaper than a Super B Special, too.

I run an s300g (super B) as a secondary for twins. Works great for that, but I don't think its near enough air as a single for the injectors you want to run. I'd look at a 62/65/14 or 62/71/14. The 12cm exhaust of the D-Tech above would spool faster, but may get a little warm.

Seems like you are paying a LOT for the fact that it's "Endorsed by Borg Warner". $1,400 is a lotta scratch for a journal-bearing 60mm turbo without a downpipe, even if it is a high-flow 60. I don't care WHO endorses it.
If you want to blow a ton on a turbo, get an HTT, II, or ATS. If you want the best bang for the buck, get a D-Tech.

After consulting a consultant, I think I have agreed on a 62/71/14. Just need to find one now.

for the price, a 63/68/14 would probably be the better buy at $1450
Higher flowing comp wheel and a bigger exhaust wheel for less back pressure. Of course it'd be better with a 12cm housing but 14 is a good housing too.
I think Matt is on to something.
