Suncoast Trans

Well, I just got back from Florida on my trip to get a Suncoast A-518. I had it built for 500hp/1000ft.lbs. I know it was over kill but rather be overbuilt then underbuilt. I am very happy. Fuel milage up from 12.5 to 19 which is a huge improvement. Over drive now works flawlessly and everytime. They even installed my new rear main seal for free. Total bill with billet TC, Trans, DD Mag-hytec...$3,750 with 6% sales tax. I would definately recomend one to anyone looking to a new trans.

I know you ask that question because i mention a billet TC. Joe at Suncoast knows the 518 don't need a billet TC but because they already mass market the Lock up case they build the non-lockup with the same housing. The flex plated side of the TC is completely machined with the seagull logo and www.suncoast.com along with all the model number info. No hand stamping. The have a really sweet shop and if you ever get a chance to swing by you should take the tour. TC was like $750 or somewhere near that. My install was more b/c its 4x4.
