suicide doors in rear
My father is wanting to put suicide on his 93 extended cab so that he can get to stuff in the back seat easier. I think that i saw an article on here or another site like this one with a write up on it. If anyone has seen this or knows someone that has done it, there knowledge and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Pictures would also be great. Thank you in advance.

I'd have the same concern as no_sprk. When I was shopping around for a truck, i looked at some newer style with the suicide style rear doors, and there really did not seem to be all that much strength there. I'd close the front doors and it just didn't sound/seem solid when it closed, and the front and rear doors seemed to move alot. That was one of the reasons I decided that a 1st gen with the solid extension was a better fit for me.

New trucks with those suicide doors had extra strength built into the C pillar. Also, when the doors close together, the have a latch at the top and bottom (at least they do on the Fords I looked at I think). Anyway, the doors have a lot of structural trength in the front of the suicide door and the rear of the normal door (for when they are closed).
I have never heard of this mod.
