STP additive, what do you guys think?
From what I've been reading, there's a question whether this new rotella and other oils might not make the grade anymore for our engines. This STP stuff has been around since Moses and I can remember there were pros & cons years ago.
Do you guys think this stuff is any good or a waste of money?

Waste of money, and will possibly do more harm than good. No additive is needed in todays CJ-4 and CI-4 oils.
What you read about the new oils not being up to snuff is a crock. Since EGR engines create more soot, a better oil is needed in order to carry the soot and suspend it. Todays oil is by far better than oil even 5 years ago.

There are actually crazy collectors out there that collect old unopened cans of oil, antifreeze, and other old automotive items. Put em on EBay. Who knows, you might get ten bucks a can.

If they are the old pull-ring metal cans, un-opened, or just good readable empty cans, people that buy such stuff for movie props will pay big money for them.
