It appears to me that the adjustments made possible by the set-up of my actuator seems that it's specifically for adapting that particular actuator to that particular housing lever. That nut, to me, seems to be only for locking the shafts threads once the correct installed length is set.

To actually adjust the Watergate's opening points, etc, one would need to alter the actuator's piston area and or its associated spring. The bleed-tee effects these changes to a degree albeit in a different fashion (and you guys know about that ).

Not too long ago, my serpentine belt fragmented (and those things are vicious under the hood!) requiring replacement. I noticed last night the belt has a big section of one side missing. The danged tensioner's resilient (rubber) spring's gone and started drooping allowing the belt to track stupid and ride up on one side of the AC compressor's pulley. CRAP!

I'm gonna pinch-off the waste-gate's hose on the way to get a new tensioner and belt this morning. That should tell me right quick if a bleed-tee's gonna help get the boost up.

Yup, sure enough, the actuators set to dump at 25psig.

Clamping off the reference hose has the engine now able to come up with 34+psig (I backed off) with the EGTs down around 1150*F. (Next to WOT conditions/0 to 70mph).

I need to install a bleed-tee. . . . . . . . . . and maybe a little more fuel.

Good deal! More fuel is good

On the belt issue, mine will not ride the fan pulley correctly (hangs off front). It rides all the others fine and chewed the first rib off. It will eat a gates belt in about a mile. The belt that's on there now has been on for like 2 years with a missing rib

Shortening the wastegate rod increases the spring tension and raises the opening point. That's why the late model actuators are factory set then punched.

Den, check your tensioner. The belt should run true, if it doesn't it's nearly always the tensioner.

Found what might be a very good foundation for a cold air intake system ~ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I don't know what size turbo feed hose connects to it. Stock I would think.

It's not got the classic BHAF but it appears what's available certainly will flow more than OEM.

To be sure one could go to pairing on it and make a good fit with the fender, then cap the top, and seal it to the front bulkhead.

Seems a decent price.

Hope this helps.

That think looks pretty nice. I'd put some sort of tubing across the top though. I'd lose a finger for sure on that one.
