Question Sticky AFC pin?

I have noticed that sometimes when I stomp the go pedal, my truck will respond differently. Sometimes it`ll pull pretty hard and other times it`ll go ok, just not as well as it can/has. I have noticed that if I "roll" into the fuel instead of mashing it it will usually pull harder. Could this be the AFC pin sticking? I plan on turning the cone eventually but it`s set as per the factory now, only other mods are I adjusted the full throttle screw out 2 1/2 turns, adjusted the trans detent cable for slightly higher/later shifts, the intake, 16cm housing, and the exhaust. I guess I`ll know for sure when i pull the AFC cover off, then i should be able to ck. for free movement of the pin correct?

Yep. Mine's the same way, and I've read that others are like that, too. On the dyno it didn't seem to make a difference but on the street you can tell. With the cone rmoved from the AFC you can check for a sticky pin by working the throttle lever, the pin should pop out.
