Stacks and heavy rain = this.

Here is a trick that I came up with :
Commandeer (swipe from the kitchen) two square plastic freezer-boxes (Tupperware/Rubbermaid/whatever) that are a slip-fit over the stacks.
HOT-GLUE a (preferably plastic) yard-stick onto each container.
The yard-sticks are your handles.
Now, you can stand on the ground and place or remove the plastic containers over the stacks with no climbing involved.
Paint them faux-chrome or gloss-black so they won't be such an eye-sore.

I came up with the idea of using the rounded cap for large pvc pipe. Put a small eye bolt in the end place a security chain or rope to it so it won't roll around in the bed and make a handle with u shaped at one end. Hook handle to eye bolt place on stack VOILA!!!! rain caps. Put them on every night in the event of rain Or pull into shed/garage for the folks who are more fortunate than others. You could still use caps if your away from home and can't pull into shed. Just some pondering I've done in the event I ever get stacks

I have a flattop stack with NO DRAINS! It can get pretty filthy. A "custom fit" Foldgers can does the trick though.
Fun part is forgetting the can, jumping in the truck and firing it up. You would be suprised how high that can will go, and it always lands solidly right above your head! WHAM! LOL

Bingo! I just posted it for a laugh. I had a boat with a T6 354M perkins in it. It ran real dirty. Every time I fired it up you did not want to be on the deck. It blew soot ***** the size of popcorn out. My mother got a face and hair full once.

Bob them off flat and put flappers on them. My first set of flappers were the heavy heavy duty 6'' chrome ones but I didn't have enough exhaust pressure to open them. I need to go back and get the cheapo 6'' flappers that don't weigh anything. The ole 93 with slap the heavy duty 6'' chrome ones open with a vengence. But no water goes down the pipe. Good luck fixing your sealed up pipes.

Lol we all so used to put pop cans down the open pipes in all the dump trucks the rattling would drive the drivers nuts

I always thought about making some covers for mine out of red canvas, with the red straps on them that say "remove befor flight" like the ones on they have on airplanes!
