Stack mounting??
Just wondering where you guys are mounting clamps and brackets to keep the stack from moving. I plan on mounting my 5" mitre on,but need to know where to put brackets to keep it the stack and piping solid. I plan on going strait up thru the bed,no bends. Any info or opinions would be great. Justin

on the top rail of the bed would probably be the easiest. I have duels and only have mine mounted though the bottom of the bed holding the y-pipe and they have not moved in 5 months.

If your just using one stack then about the only choice you have would be like archer39 said, the top rail on the head board of the the bed and for your pipe under the truck I would think that factory mounts would be enough. Don't forget to use a short section of flex pipe to compensate for the frame and body flex or else you exhaust will break loose at the connections or your stack mount in the bed might come loose, just put the flex pipe right before your 90 degree bend up into the stack and you don't need a whole bunch of it just enough to allow for some flex.

Ik this is an old thread, but may help someone. NSB has a bracket for mounting stacks, it just bolts to the bed floor. No need for any other brackets on top or anything like that.

Do they sell a bed patch kit for the next owner of the truck - when they decide they do not want a stack hole in their classic truck bed?
I bet they would sell almost as many of the patch panels as stack holes over the years.

My experience this past year is it's better to hide your exhaust outlet somewhat. I put a tip on for a while, and it came off pretty quick. Putting a 4"+ log out there that emits anything but heat waves and hint of steam attracts negative attention.
