Squeaky noise after replacing water pump!???

Squeaky noise after replacing water pump!???
Hey y’all, I recently picked up a 91 turbo diesel Cummins. Since then I have only done 1 thing under the hood, and it was the water pump. About 15 minutes into driving after I put in the new pump in, she started squeaking!
Please give me any thoughts y’all might have! I also noticed wear marks on the new pump pulley. Should I lube up the belt with oil or is something off?
