You should have gotten parts for a Dana 70.
I have staked the side of a few housings to keep from having to buy a new one. Marked with a paint pen, and checked in 10K mi, and all was still well.

why a dana 70? i couldn't find a dodge one anywhere. so i ended up buying one off a chevy one ton. with rotor and races all on. the problem is that dodge uses 1/2 studs and chevy uses 9/16 allso the chevy rotor is huge compared to the dodge. my caliper wont spread enough and i need to get a chevy caliper. other then that she went right on.

This happened to me about this time last year. Scariest thing in the world when your going 80 mph. Still I gotta hand it to the caliper bracket, its probably what saved both mine and the trucks lives. Anyway I ordered the hub and spindle, bearings and everything here. Its all new manufacture.
