springs, timbrens, and frame resto pics
I just posted some updated pictures of my skyjacker suspension install, trailmaster shocks, timbren install, buckstop front bumper, firestone destination M/T and finally the matching powdercoated dually rims. Enjoy

Looks great! I like the look of mud tires on a dually. When I got my truck it had timbrens that mount to the bottom of the frame and hit the top of the axle, but now it is lifted and I need to build some brackets to mount them out over the spring like you did.

the timbrens I got are a universal kit because of the skyjacker 6" springs remove the rear lift block.
The angle bracket bolted to the frame came with the timbren kit. We made the lower bracket using th old leaf spring top plates, some 2"x3" square tubing and some 1/4" flat stock.
I wish I had mad the bottom stop blocks removable so I going off road I could gain some more articulation. Same with the front and the sway bar links.
I actually did a lot of research on the Firestones and found a great story at www.expeditionoverland.com
I also plan on adding a milemarker hydraulic winch as well.
Thanks.

Marine,
The shocks are trailmaster of some type, I had orginally speced the skyjackers to match the suspension, the 4WD shop who has been helping me had a deal on these so we put them on if the don't survive here in the MI salt bath he said he would replace them.
Eclancy,
I used a needle scaler to remove as much as possible remove the shackle mounts dropped the gas tank and scaled everything.
I then used the POR-15 process, degrease, metal ready, por-15 black paint rust killing paint. I then used there self etching primer and chassi coat black top coat.
I have had good success with this process on my cars.

Thanks. How much were they?
I searched for Trailmaster, and I couldn't find the ones you have. They are all single tube reservoir.

They are trailmaster ssvr shocks.
He crossed referenced the lengths from the skyjacker p/n's for use with the skyjacker softride spring kit.

Your Timbren is functionally identical to what I did on mine. Guess it's pretty obvious what to do with it, once you have a look and see what needs to be done. Only differences are I wrapped the frame bracket down under the frame and used two bolts up in from the bottom and two in from the side. I also did a little variation on the stop blocks using a cut off 2 inch pipe cap. Excellent implementation in either case, though!
I used a 2 inch long bolt to stack washers between the stop and the mount for adjustability in front. I'll be doing the same method in the back sometime after the springs start to sag and that becomes necessary. The hole in the stop is drilled off center and the bolt fits through a half inch long slot so the stops can be positioned perfectly under the Timbren. The fronts ride in contact, so this type approach seemed more crtical up front. In the back I just lined 'em up once and tack welded them on.
