speedometer quiet working

speedometer quiet working

hello guys my speedometer was working fine when i turned my truck off when i cranked it back up the speedometer wouldnt work like it is a loose wire where do i look any info would be grateful thank you

Start by checking the 2-way connector at the VSS on the transmission (2wd) or transfer-case (4wd). Sometimes they come loose.

the connection their is good it is a loose conection somewhere im sure didnt know good plaqce to start but just jump in any info would be great thanks guys

I believe that from the VSS, one of the wires (the 20ga. white with orange tracer) runs all the way up to the 6-way connector that plugs into the back of the gauge cluster. I'm not sure where the other wire goes but if you have a FSM, you could look in the wiring diagrams to find out. You could check the 6-way connector behind the gauge cluster as well and at least, if nothing else, eliminate that.

it is fixed guys it was the connector at the vss on tranny thank yalll for the help D R H
