Last I checked, they were $100+.
HAs your speed always been inaccurate? If so, I'd say the lack of an adaptor is your problem. Perhaps the tranny shop forgot to reinstall it when they rebuilt stuff?
Speedometer Service in Colorado Springs can build one for around half what DC wants. They are in the white pages. To find the ratio you need, drive a known distance (10mi is great), and see how many miles roll over on your odometer. Divide the distance driven by the distance shown.
Going into OD at 32mph is normal, esp under light throttle.
