Speedo doo-hickey
Well, since I have 4.11's now my speedo is off. Does anyone have a part number for the thingy between the vehicle speed sensor and the speedo driver in the transfer case, little gear reduction looking thing. I have the 205 in my truck that came w/the getrag so the driver has the right gear, but i remember swapping the gear reduction thing to make the speedo right w/ the 3.07's, and of course I let the other reduction hickey go when I sold the transfer case out of my auto. Clear as mud, thanks for the help, seems Dodge dealer parts guys don't like to look up old stuff.

Just tell your parts guy at the dealership what size tires and what gears, and the tooth number on the speedo gear you have and he has a formula that tells him what part number to use.

Thanks BearKiller that is what I was looking for. Just for giggles I took the speedo adapter thing off and screwed the VSS to the speedo drive on output housing, and calculated against the mile markers on the interstate and got 6% under actual, which was better than 20% over actual w/ the adapter, that is if the mile markers are dead on. So the first tank w/ the 4.11s gave me ~21mpg. I am estatic!!! That was all unloaded hwy interstate miles running 70-75. This weekend in goes the 60 and out comes the 61. Woo hoo!!!
