Oh wow. I would have thought they are a lot bigger. I am running no lift with my 315's but they just look bigger on your lifted truck. idk. lol

Looks like a lot of fun. I'd like to make it out in a few years, it'd be a way long drive for me though. Its good to see a bunch of 1st gens together though. Those are a lot of nice looking trucks. Larry's grille looks like the other grille I have that I made.
Andrew your truck looks really good with those 3rd gen rims and bigger tires. I've got some 3rd gen rims with stock tires but don't wanna buy $300 spacer/adapters. But after seein that pic, I'm debatin on keepin them and gettin the adapters and some bigger tires with them and maybe a 4" lift. That thing looks mean!

Hey guys...
Thanks for the kudos on the grille.
In my younger days I let a Chrysler 300C get away from me and it had that big open grille that looked like a shark ready to strike.
I tried to get something like that look.
The grille was some perf metal I had laying around. When I get around to doing it properly I'll find a piece long enough to do it in one piece. IF you zoom in close you can see where I 'stitched' two pieces together.
The letters I found on ebay are from a '54 Dodge deuce and a half -
The square look kinda grew on me....

Some really cool shots of an Autocar that Jeremy was installing a Jake Brake on - and of course they had to test it - you could hear that thing about 1/4 mi away...
And there was a 70 Crew Cab Power Wagon conversion - to a 6BT naturally - that will look real sharp when he gets it painted. What you see is 6 yrs in the making and the chassis and running gear look like they just rolled off the assembly line
Mother nature was kind of mean to us and it dribbled all day - not really drizzle and not really just clouds. It was also very cool.
But we were rewarded just as the sun started to set - pic #1.
I picked up a set of Tim Worline's CoolTubz - plain stainless unpolished - and while the wife and I were working out a few bugs in our new ( to us ) travel trailer I also worked on the Tubz....pics #2 - 3.
The instructions on the paint said let them 'cure' for 6 days, but I only had 2 1/2 days. pic #4. If you look on the left end of the table you'll see them curing.
Since we had to check out of the campground by noon today I didn't have a choice and had to install them - pic #5. Tim also had some orange boots that 'just happen' to match the paint - - - they even have Cummins PN's.
I'll have to yank Tim's chain a little -
He says the tubz will lower your egt's but has no before and after testing to prove it....I noticed on the trip north on I-69 back to Lansing that my egt's were the same as they were on the way down. HOWEVER - I was running 2 - 4 psi higher boost due to a healthy breeze from the north, radio said 10 - 15 steady gusting to 25.
I guess in a roundabout way you could say my egt's were lower - since my boost was higher. I also had a hard time getting over 900* on longer uphill sections where before I could easily hit 950 - 975*.
Next change to the Cummins will be when I run the valves - Already have a set of valve covers painted and ready to install. And I think I'll pull that intake pipe and see if I can make something that uses less of the rubber intake on the ends and of course it will get the Hemi Orange treatment.
OH - one more thing - does anyone know where I can get a new underhood pad ?? Mine is original - and has plenty of dirt and grease to prove it. Problem is it's getting all over my Tubz

Philip, I'm glad you noticed my question about the barn: just looking at the pics I knew that barn was timber framed, something about it that modern buildings don't have. Hey, that's why I'm in that business, for good and for good!!!
