Sometime Ya' Just Have To Laugh
Yesterday I rebuilt my Dana 60 knuckles and U-Joints. All went surprisingly well actually.
As I was reassembling the driver's side knuckle, I kept fighting the steering arm that was sticking out towards me. After I get it all torqued down and stand up to stretch, I notice that the arm is supposed to be pointing to the inside.
So then I get the shafts put in and the spindles put on. I throw the caliper mount and dust shield on the left side and torque it down. Same with the right side.
After dinner I come out to find the driver's side caliper mount on backwards and the passenger's dust shield flipped over.
I'm surprised I didn't come out this morning and find the tire on backwards.

Can I tell you that I've done similar things, both on the job and working on the truck ?
