Soft brake peddle?
Well for over a year now I have been fighting with the brakes on my truck. Back when i first got the soft brake peddle waayyyy back, the mechanic told me I needed a new master cylinder. So we put one on. Better for a little while then the soft peddle came back and I put up with it for a looonnngg time and then i just got tired of pumping the stupid brakes so i went to another mechanic and he said lets try to replace the whole brake booster master cylinder assembly so went to napa and bought a brake booster and a master cylinder. Put it on. Worked for a while about half way. Then back to the soft peddle agian. Put up with pumping the brakes agian for a while then took it to another mechianic witch put another master cylinder on it. And take a guess it worked for a while but now the piece of junk is soft peddled agian. And now i'm back to pumping the brakes. Anyone ever had this problem, anyone know how to get my stiff brake peddle back to the way it was years ago? Front and rear brakes still have alot of life left in them and i also have two new front rotors on. Thanks

And another thing thats has been going on for awhile now is all my electrical stuff pulses. It pulses with the rpms of the motor. At idle its a slower pulse and at interstate speed with my lovley 4.10 gears its pulsing so fast you almost can't even tell it's doing it. It does it in the lights, interior lights, gauge lights, cb radio etc. I put on a reman. alternator and a new regulator but it still pulses. Thanks

First thing is to find out if the problem is front or rear. Try capping or plugging one (I always do the rears first because 85% of the time that is where the problem is) and then do the other.
By moving your cap (or plug) around you can often isolate the problem.

I too suffer from squishy brakes. I have yet to get detailed about the problem, as I still pump away.

If I can get around to taking a few pictures it would save us more than a thousand words.

Check the rear wheel cylinders for leaks.
Your pulsing lights are probably due to a bad body ground. Check the connection on the core support right in front of the battery.
